yeah you can, you just need to take out the clipon insert, they way i got mine out of my NT400 was, get a bolt that fits the end of the insert, tap the insert in a little way into the clip on, turn it about a 1/16th of an inch then pull it out, the insert have little clips that are 1 way, so tapping them in , removes the barb from the little notch it sits in, turning it gets it way from the notch so you can pull it out.

there was one missing on my lil honda and i bought universal barend weights, that wouldnt work with the standard bar inserts.

hope this helps.

I didn't want to add to a bumped aged thread, but it seems to have picked back up again, so...

A lot of the cheaper aftermarket mirrors have flat glass, allowing for a much smaller field of vision.  The Napoleons are convex, and don't fall into that category, but most other aftermarket ones are flat

They are crap!  Get ready to either loose it on the road, or when you try and remove one,  the inners F76ck up!

I picked up 2 sets of these last year. Used one on my K8 and they were extemely nice. Very adjustable and well made. I have to remove mine to get the bike in the shop and they come on and off without issue. $54.00 in silver or chrome.

I have a set of "still in box" silver  ones if some one wants them for $40.00. I want to get the chrome ones for the Tracy ;D

is that web page price for the pair or for one? i can't figure it out from their website.

buy the set... when they send you only one... sue them for false advertising because there were 2 in the picture.   ;)

i'm betting the sale is for a set... but i can only base that on the picture (and the price).   :-\

Can anyone with the Napoleon bar ends give me some info about the mounts?  I got a used set on eBay and they have no rubber piece.  There are two slotted metal sleeves on each mirror, one larger than the other.  The larger one fits in the bars with a small amount of clearance so getting a rubber piece between the two will be difficult or impossible.

At the moment, I've wrapped some grip material for a tennis racket around it but it still spins in the bar too easily.  It will stay put during smooth riding but I can't adjust it with one hand.

Is the sleeve supposed to cover the entire mount?  Should I be using both metal sleeves in my 7/8" bars or only the smaller one?

I think the smaller one fits into the bigger one and when you tighten the bolt the smaller one causes the bigger one to spread against the inside of the bar.
