I'm beginning to feel like the POR-15 guy. PLus, this knucklehead used Loctite instead of antiseize, what a #$%* to get off...

Hah! I gotta tell you, it's just amazing what some people will do. Now I've got to take it down, at least to satisfy myself that I don't have any of this crap in an oil passage. It was running pretty well, so I'm optimistic, but you never know. The bigger problem, for me, was the use of Loctite instead of anti-seize. Aluminum Philips heads turn to mush in a hurry when they're both painted on and Loctited in.....

Maybe we should develop a simple IQ test to give PO's before purchasing the hidden foibles of their freshman motorcycle shop project gone bad?  ;D ;D ;D

It must have worked its way passed the tappet "gaskets" when he sprayed the motor...

OR... he might have had the tapet covers off when he sprayed the motor. You never can tell the inteligents (or lack there of) of some people. Like my PO. when looking at the bike he said, "It tends to jump out of gear when your in second and reaklly haulin' on it. SO I just take it easy in second." A sfift fork later...
