How do I get this tool to work? WTF! or THE WHIPPED THREAD
« on: February 18, 2008, 11:57:29 AM »
My motorcycle friend from two houses down can't come over on Saturday to lift my engine out and move it to the workbench because:

Tool (er, I mean friend):  "Well, we didn't do anything on Valentines day, so my wife wants to do something on Sunday"

Me : "..."

Tool: So anyway I can't help today because she'll be home from work soon and I gotta do a buncha s**t so she doesn't complain that we gotta do it tomorrow instead of Valentines day"

Me: "okaay, how bout Monday?"

Tool: "Well, I'll ask (calls back later) I gotta stay around and help out with the kid Monday because I guess she's got a thing with her girlfriends Monday night"

Me: "Umm, right.  You know we're talking about ten minutes here..."

Tool
:  Yeah, I know... Maybe I'll see about Tuesday.  Probably Tuesday'll be alright, I'll ask later..."

I like this friend and all, but man has the quality of his life taken a dive in the last two years IMOP...

I would not call that person a friend - if he/she only lives two doors away and cannot spare 10 minutes... then I would not bother with much further contact.

He's got a V-max with an aftermarket 'Go-even-Faster' switch.

Maybe I'll let him borrow it sometimes in exchange for helping me move heavy s**t.

Geez, I'm honored to be in the presence of you guys, you're so tough! OK, gotta go, dishes to wash! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Greg, sorry I was away from the forum for a bit.  The wife has TONS of stuff keeping me busy.  :D

Seriously, I teach tonight (Tuesday), but I could get free for a bit on Wed or  Thur evening.  For that matter, I'm off from work all day Thur, so we could do this during the day if you prefer.  Give me a call...before my wife says I have to work on HER bike.  ;D

I clean up and I cook.  I don't like stepping on cruchy stuff in my bare feet, and I like to eat.  She doesn't, so I do.
Valentine's day was baked farm-raised salmon in marinade (farm raised doesn't compete with the Tiger Sauce the way wild salmon does), seasoned pole beans al dente, and Uncle Ernie's root mash; parsnips, turnip, beet, garnet yam, and new potatoes, with butter, sauted onion, garlic, a dash of S&P, splash of cream and a bit of sour cream- all mashed in the pot with a spatula so it's not over-worked.
I should have thrown caution to the wind and picked up a chardonnay, but I'm not supposed to drink. Would have been nice, though...

Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

There is give and take in every relationship......BUT
it seems to me that most woman want to change there guy.it's a gradual subtle way they go about it.but a transformation does take place to a certain extent.
eventually she will change (the guy we are talking about here in particular) into......what she will refer to him "as" when she is talking to her girlfriends. "A WIMP"
i have seen it happen to a few buddies over the years.
once he is whipped.there significant other views them as exactly that a WIMP.
the kicker is when they finally break up....her reason is.....i love this part.
your not the same person i started dating.

Naw its more like he WONT do until wifey says he can..Probably afraid to ask..

and he has to get the other stuff done first.... too afraid to have her pissed at him..

And he wont sneak over for 20 minutes to get-r-done, cause the fallout is way more work to deal with than it is worth to him..

Next time you see him, "Hit him with his PURSE!!!"
