Straight outta Stockton California...
« on: February 19, 2008, 07:23:34 AM »
Hey fellow Honda lovers,

I am a 30 year old man from Stockton California and like you, I love old Honda's especially CB's.  So far I have owned... 1 cb350 which I never got to run and sold for what I paid, 1 cb750 which I owned for about a week and sold for a fat profit, 1 cb360 that I found in Sacramento that was in AWESOME condition but taken apart.  I put it back together, treated the tank for rust and sold it for $1000.00 profit.  Another cb360 that had a terrible oil leak, turns out the gasket was on wrong, fixed leak sold for $500.00 profit and I currently own a 1978 CB550 K4 (I think it's a K4) that I am keeping!  Sick of turning them over.  I've also turned over a couple of Suzuki's and Yamaha's.  But my current bike I got it running REALLY nice and my only problem is a bent front wheel.  It was involved in some sort of accident 15 years ago and the guy I bought it from never rode it (probably because of the wheel).  So my hunt for a nice wheel begins.  If you know of anyone selling a nice looking or even ok looking front wheel that will fit a 78 cb550 LET ME KNOW!  Glad to be hear hope I can help other's and vice versa.  Oh yeah my other hobby is cars and I currently own a 1967 Chevelle.

Josh

lol, yeah I have seen my fair share of deals!  My best 'flip' was a 1983 suzuki GS550 E that I bought from a guy in Mill Valley for $50.00.  It didn't run but was pretty clean.  I got it home, drained the tank, put on new spark plugs, charged the battery and vrooom it started right up.  I test drove it for a few miles and decided I didn't like the way it rode.  I sold it a week later for $800.00.
