I wasn't wild about some of your design, but you have to love your craftsmanship and work quality. And your desire to get in there and get R done is inspiring. :o Sad to see your work go up in smoke(sorry about the pun) but you give new meaning to the word work. I'm sure you will come up with another eye feast for us all. Try not to work yourself to death. Tommorow is another day and maybe you won't make the rest of us look like slackers.

Hey Spike, maybe incorporate a Phoenix image and the look of ashes or burned edges into the new scheme.  Make a statement that when you put your mind to it, any thing is possible.

really i just almost allways have a project going.
my silver lining: the bike will be perfect (in my eyes)

now for the tech stuff

I'm tyring to find a color wiring diagram that i can print out ... i have this link http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/2443763/1/128160463#128160463_-A-LB

but i don't want to pay for it if someone here has one, i recall a thread with a link to a printable version but cant find it

i thought of this , but i think it will be a little overkill on the bike, so i'm most likely gonna put something like that on my helmet

so the wire connector from the stator is toast. and i know there is a website that has connectors (mikesxs -or something like that ) but before i track down the connector, i need to know what it looks like ... so if someone would kindly pop off there left side cover disconnect the stator and snap a pic for me that would be awesome

well i met up with Mkramer1121 this weekend , hung out in his garage, talked bikes, got to see his sweet a$$ 750.
then Aptech77 showed up and talked shop with us, then i packed up my rather large box of freebe's and we all went to the bar. There was a decent live band at the bar, drinks were flowing , it was all in all , a great time.
the real silver lineing of this whole thing is, i get to turn internet friends into real friends.

i had a great time fella's cant wait to do it again, #$%* gotta get back to work

You just have to look a little deeper Spikey!
What I see is some really nice lines.

Can't wait to see what you bring to the BOTM party.

Hey. Can Spikey win BOTM more that once with the same bike? Hummmm.

Spikey,
Don't worry about sending me anything.  It didn't really cost anything to ship.   Just get this thing back on the road.

+1 in case I hadn't already said that.  You've got enough that you'll have to buy even with the forum's help.

i have been hussling to get all this bondoing finished so i can paint and start on the wire harness. the bondo/putty/paint stage is (for this project) the hardest part. It is moving along pretty quickly, and i think at this rate i might just beat my goal of mid-summer.

i was sanding bondo talking with my girl, she was looking through the pictures on my camera. and snapped one of me. She then told me that all you guys are giving me free parts and most of you have no clue what i even look like. i then argued that they don't care what i look like they care what the bike looks like. ....anyway to humor her, here is my ugly mug sanding bondo... look at my face , you can tell i'm loving it ;D

I just got to say that you should (and probably do) worship a woman that lets you work bondo in the living room.  Here's to finding the woman that understands you as you are and accepts it.

Glad to hear you're moving along.  Can't wait for the video of the first start-up.
