Excellent Spikey, looking good and it's not taken long, defo shorter than my build. which has now got to the stage of the really time consuming things or the bits I have to buy.

Try and get some spikes with barbs on.............take those tagnuts right off! :D

my girl just got me the best gift a chick could buy me (or any of us for that matter)

some NEW tach and speedo backing plates, ........I know right...crazy

she saw them on my ebay watch list and bought um , didnt tell me just popped over to my new place with um

coincidentally my gauges were already here getting rebuilt, (i do some stuff here, when i have my son, i cant bring him to the other house obviously)


mmmmmmmmmmmm. ... i'm drooling on the sweet n.o.s. goodys right now

the tripometer knob was lost in the fire, i took some small alloy tube, polished it epoxied it on the shaft, epoxied the matching spikey nut to that

lookin good bro, what kinda of contact cement you usin, stay away fro 3m super77 it oly has a three second window of workability, super 99 is better but if you can get access to comericial contact thats the best, like what formica laminate is applied with to counter tops. keep up the excelent work! and maybe i can make you a billet phoenix tank logo for ya. ;D

Now, I will admit that I would not put leopard spots on my bike. But... this isn't my bike, and in this instance I dig 'em. With that said, who here thinks the bike needs flames? I mean, it was in a fire! Flames make sense.

And FWIW, I usually think flames are way too common, but seriously! At the very least you have to incorporate a little flame somewhere new.

OK, I don't know what the part is called, but I remember a while back seeing a custom bicycle that had what I was thinking  of that could be cool on spikey's bike, especially since you're good with metal. Here's a link and photo similar to what I was thinking:

Maybe you could make something like the chrome bit in the photo, only flame shaped? I have no idea how easy or hard it would be, or if it's even possible.

That bit is called a lug, and it is used to join bicycle tubes. That particular bike was built by a friend of mine, the company is called Vanilla Bikes. The lug started much larger and less pretty...  filing a lug to that degree takes hours of hand filing and cutting. Beautiful bit of work there.
