I ordered some new BT45s for the front and back wheels I have for my CB750 k8. They are Alloy DID rims. The rear had a tire on it so that was a no brainer on the size. The front was bought with the description "1970 CB750 Aluminum Rim" Before I ordered I measured the rim dia. edge to edge and got 19", so figured it was a 19" rim.
I got the tire today and the front rim floats inside the tire. I have included some pictures to show you what I mean. I was under the impression that these would not just slide on. Figuring like with bike tires they will need to stretch a little to seat on the rim.
What is the correct way to measure the rim? I think this front is really a 18" I hope they let me exchange this and the tube no problems
