Slider on Carb Issue
« on: February 22, 2008, 02:04:35 PM »
I have K carbs that are dated 1977.  They go on a sohc engine honda.  I rebuilt all 4 carbs and when I tried to push the last slider in on the last carb (the carb with the big lever on it) it was really difficult to go down...I had to push, then it went in fine.  It seemed like the first inch or so was difficult then became okay.  Will this cause a problem down the road.  THanks.

I'd investigate why it behaved that way. They should drop in easily. After all, there is not much force used to raise the slides in operation and just some spring pressure to lower them on closing.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

If the slider jams at the top when you put it in it also can jam at the top when you are riding the bike.
