Total cost for the weekend, $1,400-00
and what did we get.......a stiff head wind all weekend.
After all that we still don't know how fast the bloody thing is, all we know is it will go faster given the right conditions.
All the British flying records should be no problem as the bike bettered the flying quarter and flying mile speeds.
The only one it didn't better was the flying kilometer, it was just 0.22mph off it.
It's best speed was 118.30mph.
when it was announced that it had bettered the records, people started to chat with me and the consensus of opinion was that there was at least another 10mph to be had, if not more given still air.
To give you an idea of how strong the wind was, Chris could not get the big CR836 to match the speed of the old stock motor
on the same gearing, with the 836s extra 26bhp and a loss of about 45lb off of his body weight.
Perhaps the best thing to come out of the weekend was, I picked up another sponsor by way of the Hotel we stayed in.
The next move is the dyno to find out what the bikes power is and where it falls off.
After that it's nitrous time as I had an offer of help from one of the UKs top wet nitrous tuners, and the good thing is he only lives the other side of town and also has experience with RSs
Needless to say, the big booze up was a little refined, I only got drunk and not rat arsed.
Sam.
