Author Topic: land speed record bike (Read 73922 times)

I was going to make a mock attempt on the record in April but I have just had an email from the IOPD saying that they will sanction it as an official IOPD land speed record.
It will not displace the ACU record but will run along side it sort of like there are several world heavyweight boxing champions with different organisations. WBA WBO WBF etc.

The IOPD is an organisation set up with the blessing of the British Government to oversee off road events.
IOPD stands for the International Organisation of Professional Drivers.

This is the reason for me sitting here at work with back ache.

I noticed late this afternoon something had come through my letter box.
It wasn't there earlier as I had been down to collect the mail that had arrived while I was sleeping. (night worker)
I thought it was junk mail so ignored it until I was ready to leave for work.
As I was leaving, I found to my suprise it was a UPS missed delivery note and a parcel had been delivered across the road at #20.
I was expecting a set of crankcases from America and thought, "wow that was quick" and got all excited.
I went across to pick it up and my neighbour asked did I want a lift to carry it across the road.
I thought he was having me on and said no, then I tried to lift it, nearly broke me in two.
