I have looked thru the threads can't seem to find the the number for Vht paint that matches a 78 F3 engine color black I belive it is a satin finish Vht lists a GM satin could this be the same.

Don't want to highjack the thread you have going here, but I might as well add another question regarding vht paint.  Does anyone know a good supplier, or well known store that carries vht paint, I cant seem to find it anywhere without ordering it?

O'Reilly's carries it.  Dont know if you have one close but that is where I picked mine up at.

Auto Zone carries VHT but not their entire line just some basic colors.

I just bought some PJ1 Coatings satin black engine and case paint. It's good to 550 degrees F  and from what I read it was designed to match the original paint. I haven't tested it yet, to see how well it matches. I bought it from Solomotoparts.com.
