I had a great time in Brisbane with Jane - thanks again for the Hospitality. Can't wait to see tha CB350F when it's finished.

P.S. Worlds fastest Indian is a GREAT film - even if Anthony Hopkins Kiwi accent sounded more Somerset England, to me

Hi all... this is my first post and even though this is an old one it seemed appropriate to post that I am out there and in here now... Will put a post somewhere else to see what happens. Cheers all.

Howdy all , long time lurker first time poster. ;D

What a wealth of information, it has become my re-feral point for my current project. Lastest victim is a CB550 that i have transformed in a cafe racer....Well nearly just need to finish building the header pipes and make up a seat. Been a great project bike but most of the inspiration has come from this site.

I'm in Adelaide.

cheers Wayne

Sounds good; soon as you mentioned BEER ;D, I have holidays in two weeks and are planing on getting mine finished during my holidays. The only thing stopping me will be finding some one open with a dyno to tune the carbs properly, i will just spray the headers and mufflers with heat proof until the ceramic coaters reopen late febuary.

Im a little keen to get it finished and rideable

You dont need a dyno to tune the carbs mate.......
I`ve got a morgan carb tune if you need one (havent used it yet as i`m bloody scared  of carbs lol) set your carbs to the factory specs and then balance them, should quiet down some of those factory fitted rattles. Got to do my carbs myself, they are still on the bench lol. got the two weeks of christmas/new year off myself......
See you soon  ;)

I wish it was that easy ;D , But ive fitted pods and a different exhaust so it going to be really lean and require re-jetting, i find a dyno is the easy and quick way of getting the jetting right. Im a bit the same can do anything else except for jetting and carb tuning it a art form i reacon ;D

Are you crow-eaters going to speed week '09 at Lake Gairdner? I'll be coming over the border from Vic for the event, we're (my cousin and I) going to attempt a land speed record for a twin engined push-bike! (serious) Sadly we won't be riding our bikes over, (or maybe we will..................) but it should be a great week! Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Carpy, if you haven't got a frame yet, drop me an e-mail. Have a bloke on NSW Central Coast who has heaps.
Anyone riding up this way is welcome but you must be prepared to drink copious amounts of piss.
Dave

For our American members, sometimes Aussies call beer "piss". We don't actually sit around drinking urine, unless someone's brought over a slab of English beer of course, that stuff makes urine almost attractive! Just jokes men.............. Cheers, Terry. ;D
Terry, you ever notice that we former colonials have moved the language forward and made it more interesting.  ;D

Best of luck mate, if you can find good bits like that in Oz you're a bloody legend, I've been buying my stuff from Britain, Europe, Japan and the US for 10 years now, and the blokes selling stuff here are buying their stuff from the same places, and adding on a fat profit. I might have a sidecover, I'll check when I get home on Friday for you. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Hi Tony.

Even the guys in the 'states use this lot:
http://lpmreplicaparts.com/honda/CB750F1/sidep.html

They are good quality reproduction covers - you'll have to get them painted of course.

They ship direct but if you need any local help, there are plenty of poms who will (surprisingly) be able to help.

Howzat!

I'm glad you reminded me Steve, I've got to send my replica K0 left sidecover back to LPM, it wasn't until after I painted it that I realised that it's warped! Must be a "one off", the right one and the airbox are fine. Cheers, Terry. ;D
