Is there anybody out there?
« on: April 10, 2005, 03:21:34 AM »
Come on Aussie, c'mon! Surfing this site for a few weeks and notice that nobody from ANYWHERE has been here. I'm just interested to see how long it takes for the rest of you Aussies to get on board. Only too happy to host any 750/4 owners who are coming down under.

Hello,
I'm from Adelaide and had a 750 k1 back in 1972 for a couple of years and new to this forum. I just got a 1978 750 f2 and can't believe how heavy these bikes were and how I used to grind the footpegs back then. Brought a lot of memories back

OK so I don't got a 750(4) as such. I do have a K3 550(4) with 750 pistons in it and a 650 cylinder head. It's an in progress work and is gonna be a one of a kind chopper. I guess that like most orphans, I don't have much to cling on to so you guys will just have to adopt (er...tolerate) me. Townsville's a long way from Albury (nice there too!) and much warmer so I'll keep up with yas'.

Cheers,  Pete

Hey Steve, have you found a frame yet? if you do, I can deliver it to Castlemaine, I drive the wife to Maldon now and again for a Sunday lunch and I've got a Toyota ute, so delivery willl only cost you a size XXXL T shirt. (have you got any black ones? The white ones make you look like a Pommy Postie :-) I've only got one spare frame, but it's off an F2. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Carpy, if you haven't got a frame yet, drop me an e-mail. Have a bloke on NSW Central Coast who has heaps.
Anyone riding up this way is welcome but you must be prepared to drink copious amounts of piss.

For our American members, sometimes Aussies call beer "piss". We don't actually sit around drinking urine, unless someone's brought over a slab of English beer of course, that stuff makes urine almost attractive! Just jokes men.............. Cheers, Terry. ;D

cben,
I tried to email you, but I wonder if the email address is wrong? I like the look of your exhaust pipe, what make is it? I have a 76F1 which has a Motad currently, but it is too quiet for my tastes, does yours have a good sound?
Cheers,
Jim.

Terry,
Shipping is a bugger; if you are coming over just stick it in your luggage!  :)

Ok Steve shall I get them back on track...?

I'm coming to Aus in April. Staying with Jane (turtle) in Brisbane for a while, anyone else in that area or perhaps in Sydney or Cairns (my other two intended destinations)?
