I put a new Agm type battery in my 76F. Rode it 30 mile in the rain. Would not start. Trucked it home. It sat a few weeks. Battery dead. Rectifier fried. Regulator fried. Stator tests out of limits.. What happened? This was a real hard downpour, had to take bike to work, wife had truck. Bike ran good and plenty of power to work, sat all day in parking lot, rained on half the day.
You replaced the battery because?? Just wondering if this was a pre-existing issue. If the bike ran 30 min strong, I'm not thinking your stator was fried before it sat all day in the rain. These old bikes tend to have bad connections that haven't had fresh silicon in a few decades. They will run fine while moving but when you basically start pouring water into every crevase, stuff can start to fry.
Usually the fuse will blow and that's it. If you don't have the correct amperage fuse in place, other stuff can start to go. If you have jumped teh fuse (I've done it plenty of times before), other stuff suffers. Most likely the water did the jumping for you. Full charge battery, water arching all over the panel, fuses wet = stuff gets gonged.
I'd start off testing everything on the electric panel and pulling all connections. Get them clean and use silicon to seal them for the next time. If the parts you list are gone, they're gone but you don't want to have to replace them again.
Just my 2c.
Good luck.
