Help Me Locate the fuses on a 1980 cb900custom !!!!
« on: February 26, 2008, 10:23:09 PM »
I managed to figure out the headlight bulb is good (tested on the battery itself) but hit the high/low beam and nothing. I ordered a manual for it online and it hasn't arrived yet. I managed to bust the 30A fuse  >:( (main it is a sheet of metal?) I think I hate that fuse (so easy to break, is there an upgrade to a bulb type or spade type?? ) but could not locate the headlight fuse circuit, or the turn signal circuit fuse!! A little frustrating !!  Thanks for your help !! . . . Shane

PS- Any other things or quirks with this model fill me in

I think they're mounted on the top triple, under a little cover? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thats where they are on the 80 up 650's.  2 little phillips screws hod the cover on.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the input . . . after work I will have another go at it. I found an updated starter solenoid with a blade type fuse (30A), man they're spendy . . . but much easier to replace !!!  ;D   Shane
