Okay, this is a perfect world moment.

If in your fantasies, you could choose any model CB750, what year would it be, and K or F. (For obvious reasons, the K0 doesn't count!)

For me it would be hard to say, but if pressed I'd go for a post '75 K model.

I bought it new and still have it - 75 750K0 Super Sport aka 75 750F0 Candy Sapphire Blue. I considered this as the reinvention of the tired old slow 750 Honda back in the day. I had a fleeting thought about a 900 Kaw but that didn't last long when I heard about the new Honda. Easy choice for me, however I'd like to have a pristine low mileage 77/78 F2/F3 to go along with it. Just something about an open 4 into 1 header at high rpms that I can't resist.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

I'd first like a time machine, so I could go back and collect my original yellow 1975 CB750F that I bought new in 1978 for a big discount, (The Honda dealers here couldn't move the ugly fuuckers, so most of them stayed in crates for the first few years of their lives) so I could take it back to Stanco in Elizabeth Street in Melbourne where I bought it, and buy that Kawasaki Z1R that I really wanted, but couldn't afford!  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I'd actually like a 76 F model.  I love the combo of triple discs, but spoked wheels.  I'd want it in black with a little red trim and something loud like a Yosh pipe  ;D

I find it unusual that so many people want an F model.

Me, in a perfect world, I want a brand new 78F. For some reason I have been in love with that model since I first laid eyes on it.

Late K1, in Blue-green. Always wanted that one, never got it (mine was gold). Love those glasspacked pipes and the 130+ MPH ability.

But then again, I bought my K2 because it had the quieter pipes... ::)

I quite like my '71. I wouldn't want anything else. It's got a well worked over motor, looks pretty sharp. It'll be perfect one I re-paint, refinish gauges, and do some other things to clean it up.

Well said Terry. The only other CB750 I have is a 1980 DOHC KZ and being a short arse its too tall for me. The F2 is still in pieces so I guess I'll find out the hard way when I get to Aussie. I can see I'll be conversing with you more on this subject over the ensueing months. Cheers, Roscoe
