Bike Week starts Monday...
« on: February 27, 2008, 03:57:51 PM »
So Daytona bike week starts Monday. A lot of the old iron will be on the track racing Monday and Tuesday. Also the Antique Motorcycle Club Of America will have their National Meet In Eustis, Fl. Feb.29th. thru Mar. 2nd. There should be some great looking bikes there.

If anyone is coming, maybe we can arrange a meet and greet somewhere. Main street will be 99 percent Harleys, but the exhibits at the speedway should be fun to visit and oggle the new bikes.  ::) I think I'll leave my Amex card at home.

A guy selling some bikes passed through here today to drop off another Indian to a friend.  Looked like he had between $75 and $100K worth of bikes in there.  5 bikes...  The '57 original-paint Harley was tasty.

Bring cash!
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

for yet another year in a row circumstances have conspired against me to prevent my attendance of bike week.

Stupid time of year to have bike week! No way I could ever go unless I trailered my ride and that just aint right.

I would guess that well over half the Harleys that show up were trailered in....probably even from Orlando.  ::)

Nothing wrong with trailering your bike to a meet...  I plan on either trailering my bike down to Barber Vintage Festival this year or having someone else sacrifice riding to bring a trailer down.

Either that or ride down, rent a U-Haul down there and take it all back up one-way  ;D

Nope, if I go to a bike week, I will ride. That is the way it should be. It is still dumb though to do a bike week in february.

i'd much rather go to sturgis than daytona, even being on the east coast.  Much nicer riding and fewer A$$holes living in the area (from what I've heard).  It's on my list of stops when I finally get to make my cross country trip.

I didn't think any #$%*s lived in the Dakotas....Ok I'll be honest..I didn't think anyone lived in the Dakotas.

The #$%*s have to be imported...thats why Sturgis is a Harley event  ;D ;D :D

Well see we live in the dakotas cause when the zombie apocalypse happens, they will all freeze in the winter and be easy to pick off! ;D

As for importing, well we have a few of our own but luckily for us, they rarely congregate! ;D

Sturgis is in South Dakota.
There is no state income tax there either! ;D
There are old bikers and there are bold bikers but there are very few old, bold bikers.

Not doing what you can to make your bike ride-able during the best riding months of the year kind of defeats the purpose of owning it in the first place.
