I have several vacuum forming machines and could easily reproduce side covers. The problem is the pins, they would have to be made and added separately.
I've seen the cheap vac formed covers with screw in metal pins, but didn't like them. I could mold them thicker so they don't feel cheap, but its the pins that are a problem. Its possible to resin cast the pins and glue them on, but then the cost gets up there. I could resin cast the whole cover with pins, but still expensive and its hard to find a durable casting resin.
There's just not enough volume to justify injection molded tooling. I'm surprised Airtech doesn't make fiberglass repro's
Just so I have an idea, what would be a fair price for good reproduction covers?
