Snow
« on: February 29, 2008, 01:14:46 PM »
SNOW, christ on a blue, crutch the the snow is rolling across the front yard looking like thick smoke and I'm beginning to go into my snow hating phase again. Enough, enough, I've got things to do, that don't need snow. Sorry there is a sneaking feeling, that maybe if enough people read this it will be like cranking a Tibetan prayer wheel faster and maybe it will go where it belongs.
( the reason the crutch was blue is because of the cold and snow)
Bill.

I think there are many of us who share your pain. Just finished snowblowing for the second time this week. By now, we usually see some occasional hint of "the end," but so far, just more snow. >:(
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Weather's been great here the past several days.  It was so warm yesterday I washed the 750 and then washed my wife's car just for the hell of it!  Mid 60's tomorrow, and then SNOW again on Sunday!!!!!!!! >:( >:( :'(

When I lived in Texas I looked forward to Winter because it meant a four month break from mowing the lawn, but here in Denver I just trade mowing for shoveling snow.

My wife (a native Californian from San Francisco) says the snow is sooooo pretty.

Yep, I say, "when it is somewhere else..."

We actually had a dusting of snow up in the hills here above San Jose, this year.  Made the front page of the local Newspaper.  The wife clipped the page and sent it off to the Colorado branch people claiming it to be the "Big San Jose blizzard of '08".

Had the Colorado branch ROTFL with quips such as, "Look, you can still see rocks and green plants poking out of the snow cover!"  "Is that grass?"

It was an opportune picture.  'Twas all gone by about 10 am.  So, I didn't even get to take the bike up into the hills for in person pictures of the hardship we endure.  Maybe in the next decade...

Cheers,
Lloyd... (SOHC4 #11 Original Mail List)

Twotired, lived in Covina California for awhile and actually drove  up Azusa Canyon rd to see snow in the hills and after many years of thinking about it have decided the natural place for snow is on mountains, yes I agree with your wife that it is pretty, but only on mountains.
