Principles of Ship design

Since we're having all this engineering discussions I thought a topic on
the Principles of Ship design might come in handy for any future engineering
discussions involving ships. Particularly ships which have the front fall off.

That's got to be a joke, right? That can't be a real interview, aussies aren't that dumb.

And cardboard is definitely out as a building material.

Now let me get this straight.  The front is not supposed to fall off?

Thanks for posting, that was funny as hell.  For all those concerned about the collective intelligence of humanity, it appears to be a spoof.

This is from A Current Affair, an Australian current affairs programme. It concerns an oil spill which occured on 21st July 1991 off the coast of Western Australia when a tanker called the Kirki lost it's bow. The performers are John Clarke (Senator Bob Collins) and Bryan Dawe (interviewer). Clarke & Dawe had a weekly segment on A Current Affair, where they'd do a topical spoof interview. They're now doing the same thing on The 7.30 Report. See my channel for a number of their recent sketches.

Yes, John Clarke has been around for years (AKA Fred Dagg), a classic Kiwi comedian/satirist...

There are a few video clips featuring him on YouTube....
