Yeah, in 1970' I went to the local Plymouth dealer (at San Rafael, CA. ) and priced a Superbird and an AAR Cuda like this one for $5000 ea. Thing is, they ended up only making  2,724  in 1970. 340 6pk , a 4sp and more. ;D

There is a 70? Roadrunner ragtop here in town. In the early 70,s a teacher at school had it, think he got it new.

Still has it, never drives it in the winter, It is as far as I know original paint, and no floor rot I think.

probably paid around 4000-4500.. drove it every year, & can now sell it for probably 10 times the price.. or more..

38 years works out to 125 or near that per year to own it... hell of a sweet deal... I am thinking..

Yeah, I think you are right. That convertible WOULD be a VERY sweet deal, if a person was able to pick up on it. 8) ;) The convertible was a very limited model (69' & 70'). There were around 2000 in 69' not sure about 70'.

                                 Later on, Bill :) ;)

Ford couldn't find buyers for the 1st Shelby Cobra's in 1965 (I think $6,500) so the leftovers were discounted in late 1966 at below cost.
