Hi Mick, the private road under Thelwall Viaduct that leads down to my mates shooting ground is covered in black lines all in excess of 100 yards ;D ;D ;D ;D.....and that was just in first gear ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It took a while to get used to the clutch as I had put it on high gearing to stop it standing on the back wheel.

After a few meetings It should be rideable as I come to terms with the clutch and power delivery.

Bloody Poms, I know that dump of a rain sodden island is tiny, and even your drag strips are only half the proper size, (who ever heard of a Brit built car or bike that would hang together for a full quarter of a mile, anyway?) but how the hell are you gonna get a land speed record on a set of rollers, with a calculator? What a gip!  :P ;D

The power comes in at 7,000 Jeff like an Exocet missile. Peak power is about 12,500 but it gets there that quick in the lower gears, you quite offten see 14,000rpm.

The samling is a chrisling ;D ;D ;D ;D

His name is Ben, he is Chris's son, probably our youngest poster.

Spud with the Lotus 7 is Chris's Big brother, Bens uncle.

Chris doesn't do computers and I don't do cameras that's why Spud came in and Ben followed him in.

The next one to come on board is the samling,  My youngest Son Jonathan with pics and video from last weekends test runs.

or, maybe i will hold it against ya since my name's spelling originated closer to your side of the pond than mine  ;)

anyway... can't wait to see some carving w/ that thing!!  or some realllllllly fast blur going across the screen.   :)

Pfffffft! I'll take you on old feller, I'm in the process of converting my single engined "Whizzer Wannabe" to a twin engined configuration to beat the world land speed record of 61 MPH, AND I'm gonna do it pissed! ;D

I'm not positive but when I was talking to Kenny(the guy who helped him build that bike) I thought he said the 2 engines were approx. 160 cc's total. He might have been talking about another one he made himself with a custom cylinder and head with a single cb750 piston tho. I thought a Whizzer engine was 49 cc's stock!!

G'Day Sammy, I think they're 67cc each. (Chinese 2 stroke technology, so probably copies of Villiers "Bike motors" from the 1930's, ha ha!)

Oh, and my cousin will be the pilot, apparently putting someone my size on this bike will constitute a charge of "Cruel and unusual punishment to a bicycle" in South Australia, (Salt Flats) so as my cuz is half my size, I'll allow him to pilot "The worlds fastest Indian (Manufactured bicycle)" for this momentous occasion, and I'm trying to convince him to ride it naked, apart from a pair of "Budgie Smugglers" swimming trunks, and an Australian Flag shower cap, as a tribute to Rollie Free, when he made history on another great Aussie design, the Vincent!  ;D
