Holy nuts!  These bikes are all gorgeous!  I had to go for James though because I know that took a lot of work.  Do you have a build thread or a website?

I voted bhppy- it's modified in a way that preserves the character of the bike, and it appears era-correct.

Runner up James- how much cb550 is left in it?  I guess it's a retromodern sportbike?  The work put into it is insane though.  Very nice.

blackhog- short chopper style is awesome- combines the traditional chopper cues yet waves a rebel flag in the face of those who really like to air out their armpits whist riding.  Appears to have excellent quality.

Olds-cool, sorry I keep meaning to do a website/thread but somehow I never get round to it, thanks for the vote.

There will be a website in the future, I've got a couple of projects to get finished first.

ChevelleSSLS6 - thanks for that, I guess I could say the most important part is still there, the heart, the majority of the bike is still Honda, apart from the front. and the seat unit. Here in the UK people are very closed-minded, they think that all bikes that are modified in this way should be R1's, Fireblades, Hyabusa's, GSXr's, etc, y'know something, modern, expensive, fast.
I often get asked 'why would you do that to a bike like that', I usually answer something like, 'because it's not a GSXr', or 'because it was there and I could'.

Anyhoo, thanks to everyone for the comments so far, I know it's not to everyones taste, but if we all like the same things then I imagine life would be pretty boring. all the bikes are amazing, and I would try and find space in my garage for them all.

Good luck Blackhog02 and Bhppy101.

Yep thats a VFR 750 FM, but I'm changing to a NC30 (VFR400) - it's a sprocket issue.

this is the first poll for bike of the month that i am waiting to vote until the bitter end.

one great match up and i want to be surprised!

i still haven't decided.

p.s... as the moderator i can see who's winning (unless i don't vote)... the point to this particular post... wouldn't make much sense if you didn't know that, i guess.   ;)

p.p.s... someone remind me to vote toward the end    ;D

What I love is three different results from what basically is the same bike.

They each push a different button and each builder is to be commended. I tend to lean Cafe, but my vote is for the red chop.

There are things I like about all three bikes. Thing is, I'm usually not much of a "Chopper" person, but Blackhog's bike does catch one's eye though. James' bike has a lot of engineering in it and really is impressive as to what can be do to "modernize" one bhppy 101's bike is some more classic style "Cafe" that is pleasing to the eye. Don't know that I'd be comfortable on any one of them, but gotta give lots of credit for the efforts that were put into each one and THAT really shows! 8) ;)

All nice bikes in their own right.  But James gets the vote hands down.  The amount of fabrication and work to get that swingarm in, the front end installed and the custom subframe is amazing.  That alone should give him the win.  Having built a streetfighter myself I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into a custom build like that.  You don't see many (if any at all) 550 fighters riding around!  Very nice work!
