Howdy from SoCal
« on: March 02, 2008, 05:27:55 PM »
I'm the new guy here so I'm saying my hellos.  I guess I'm supposed to tell what bikes I have.  I have a '70 CB 750 in a bit scruffy but very original condition,  A '71 SL350 in much the same shape.  And a '60 Norton/Weslake spl. that is used for land speed racing.  I am currently building an LSR sidecar that is powered by a Weslake 500 speedway engine.  Thats about it.

Welcome from Canada Hoof,

You'll have to post some pics, sounds like some interesting projects you have there.

Member "754" is into the LSR scene... and possibly a few others on board

Thanks Matt.   The Norton and the sidecar are taking up all my time.  The CB 750 I got a couple of years back from the original owner.  He rode it until the helmet law came in here and he just parked it on his patio and walked away.  I had planned a "rideable" resto.  I put new rims and spokes and rode it for a summer and parked it.  It is surprisingly original right down to the tool bag.  The previous ower mover the ignition swith up to the bars and recovered the seat but the rest is as it came from Honda.  I'd hate to see it chopped up into a cafe racer or worse.  I only found this site a few days ago but it looks intresting.  I'll stick around for a while.

Thanks.  It would be better if you said you'd make me a deal on a Featherbed roller.
