Hi All!
I just got to know about this forum after I've been looking around the internet to do some research. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from South Africa and I'm a full-time musician. Although I've been riding for a couple of years now, I'm pretty much still a noob when it comes to anything else to do with motorcycles. I've always had other people help out when I needed help with my bike, but I'm trying to learn more and have already picked up a lot of knowledge just from reading. Way back I used to do metal-work and I also build my own guitars, so I'm fairly technically-minded, which gives me hope that I'll be able to do OK once I've learnt everything.
I bought my CB750 Four a short while back for an absolute steal from a friend's father, who put it together from parts from a couple of different 70's models that he found all over the place. The engine no. is:CB750E-2369420, but I've not been able to identify the frame, or a lot of the other parts. When I got the bike it didn't have a head- or taillight, so I had to purchase new ones. The whole bike's wiring is due to be replaced soon. Here's a pic to give you an idea.
Although I really like this bike as is, I've always been absolutely in love with choppers, so I might well make this bike the chopper/bobber-project I've always wanted to do, unless there would be any real reason not to do it. I've been drooling over some of the picture of what guys have done with their CB750's that I've seen around the internet.
