Changing the clear plastic on a Speedo
« on: March 02, 2008, 08:43:52 AM »
Howdy,

First post here. I have a '69 CL450 with a broken plastic clear cover on my speedo. I aquired a used set that I want to take the "good"clear plastic off of. How do I get the old plastic cover off and the new one on ??? Thanks in advance.

Hi Scrambler,

I did a search of the site and found this article on disassembly the Tach, should be the same for the Speedo or close to it.  Hope it helps.

There's something oddly funny and disturbing at the same time about clear plastic on a Speedo.  Must be the capital S in Speedo that makes it funny.

Yeah, that's what I thought.  What's the point of a Speedo if it doesn't really hide the naughty bits?  I mean, a nose against the glass can be humorous.  But,......
