140's to much..OK, but why not check out 136's before dropping all the way down as far as 130's again?

138's for my 78K

z1 enterprises was out of stck on the 135 jets. so i can only choose between 130 and 140 for now. i can order them from honda but they're really overpriced.

I'm betting you haven't done a carb synch yet. My bike had that lag back down to idle until I put the synch to it.

This might have to do with your altitude.Like Derek,I was running 138's at 89ft. altitude. I moved to 1750 and my job 7 miles away is 2200. I dropped to 130 mains and all is well.If you don't feel like doing plug chops....take it out for a quick hi RPM ride and then shut it off.If it sounds like a bowl of rice krispies sitting there cooling off....its too lean.

i figured out what it was. the threaded top on two of the carbs had vibrated loose. i snaped the throtle cable and i noticed it when repairing it. good thing it snapped when i was parking it in the garage. i made a mistake the rear tire is a 150/80. i put a 140/90 on my buddy's (10diamond) bike. its running really great on those 130's but i might throw on some 135's later. no snap, krackle, or pop and i was was riding the piss out of it last friday on the way home from work.

Thanks again for all the compliments. one always like to know their hard work is appriciated. i've already started my next project. its a 1972 CL350.
my neighbor has watched me build three cafes in the last year. i can tell he really wants one but he has 5 kids, one of those upside down mortgages, and works for disney so needless to say he can't afford one. he's a really great guy and dad to his kids, you can tell because his kids aren't brats. so 10diamond and i are gonna build it and give it to him. it just seemed like a cool thing to do for someone who deserves it. we bought it for $80 from a junkyard. i've already sold 50 bucks in parts off it we're not gonna use. i'll throw up some picks in the project forum because i know how much we love pics.

Nice idea. But with 5 kids and a free motorcycle, make sure he at least springs for a decent helmet...Fantabulous work btw on this project. Stunning.

if its a mac it was modified. some seem to thing its a honda racing pipe, but i don't think so. its difinatly not a kerker or yoshi. it sounds great but make the bike hard as hell to start when its cold. good thing i live in florida. i need to put a baffle in it so it will quit stumbling at idle. but i can't stop riding it long enought to fix the little things.
