Hello from near Chicago
« on: March 06, 2008, 11:12:19 AM »
I'll be getting my 1980 CB60C this Saturday.  I've been riding since 1991.  I riden about 100,000 miles and have had a number of bikes over the years.

1981 Kaw KZ550, 1992 Kaw Concours, 1991 Kaw Zephyr 750, 1983 Yamaha Venture, 1999 Yamaha Venture, 1981 Honda CB650, 1985 Yamaha Virago 1100, 1980 Honda CB900, 2002 Kaw Nomad, 1980 Honda CB650

I sold the Nomad last spring because I have a 4 year old son and was concerned about the safety of riding.  I also had the bug to buy a sports car.  I have decided that I still want to be able to ride for fun so I am in the process of buying the CB650 now.  I trained to be an MSF instructor in 2001 and taught a few times each year until 2004.  I liked teaching but it ate up the entire weekend.  After a week of regular work I didn't wan't to work the weekend.  When I had my old CB650 I was active on the predecessor to this forum.   I look forward to riding this summer and hope we can get a Chicago get together planned.

Greetings from the northwest suburbs :)

I'm pretty new here myself, but I love this community more and more every day that I'm here.

Cheers!
