Hey Mustang--welcome. and slightly early congratulations on your 30th mfg anniversary.
78---the last, and some say the best, of the breed.

We've got a Rebel in the family too. An 06 Pearl white one.
Have ya noticed how many of the Harley bikes try to look like the Rebel----what's up with that?  ;D

Look around, this is a great site offering lots to learn and tons of inspiration.

Thanks guys! hope you all had a nice Christmas,,,,Hey Fuzz, cool you have a Rebel, neat bikes, mine is an orange 05,i shimmed the carb needle it has a bit more pep now, i post on www.rebel250.com,,Harley tried to sue Honda over the Rebel back in 87 claiming it was copying their style, thats why honda stopped making them for a decade or so and then started back up on making the Rebel in 1999 to present, back in 87 there was a 450 Rebel as you know so Honda could only continue making them in 99 ,but with the smaller 250cc,,,ah its fast enough for me,,,,I will love the 78K just as much,,has its own unique great style,,,take care

Welcome!  There's a number of us in the Chicago area that try to meet up for rides and such.  Usually  Mods and Rockers in Chicago and the Chicagoland Midnight Tour to name a couple.  So again, welcome to the site, good to see another local guy on here.

I was just in your neighborhood a couple weeks ago. Went to Navy Pier, Emils Restaurant on Wacker and a solo evening out for me at Andy's Jazz Club up by River North while my wife & M.I.L. went to the opera (I think I made the right choice on that one).
Got all kinds of points with my little woman---took her skating Saturday morning @ Millenium Park.

I've followed the mods & rockers websites & info. How cool would it be someday to ride down south on my K8 for that.

Good luck on your frame-work and the bike in general.

Sfar as the Rebel goes, yeah, for decades HD Corp has been off and on whining in some fashion or other about unfair competition from Japan. My advice to them: make a better product at a better price and good things happen.
