CARB ADJUSTING

I have a SOHC 74 engine.  My carbs are 77K carbs.  The position is as low as it will go...is this too high?  http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh19/revjimmc/DSC00877.jpg

Yes. if you are looking for an idle. 

You should be able to close the slide completely with the idle adjustment backed out.

You really should tells us what engine you have.

If I push them down from the top...that is as far as they want to go down...I am really confused.

Have you messed with the individual slide adjustments?

rebuilt all four carbs...took them apart completely...not that hard.  Although something just isn't right...

GOT IT!!!!!  Thanks guys...had to adjust the top spacer nut...
