1975 suzuki gt550

got a lead on a non running 1975 gt550... I haven't seen it yet but owner says it's got good paint (black), chrome, and he's redone the electrical, asking $650.  Any suggestions?  Is $650 a lil' much for this bike? I really like the looks (from the img's I've seen on the net).  Any experiences w/ these?  what should I look out for?

Well, if it were an earlier model, you could get most of the $600 for the 4-leading shoe front drum brake they had (same as on the early GT750's.)  Aside from that I don't know much about them unfortunately.  So if it happens to have a front drum brake, go buy it.

3 cyl 2 stroke, drink gas eat chains, calipers sieze parts not easy----anything else?

Carbs, points and timing really suck to adjust. Gauge bezels cloud up.

Other than that they are pretty fun to ride. ;D

Thanks everyone.  I don't think I can hide another bike out in the shop so it'll have to go by the wife, not prolly gunna get this one... they look cool though!
