Does anyone know the size brake speed bleeder a 550 caliper takes?

I just put speed bleeders in my 71 500, if they are the same they're 7X1mm

Did you ever get the right size speed bleeders for your 550? If so, where they the same size as the 500, as in this post?

My spare bleeder threads quite nicely onto an M7-1.0 metric nut, and the whole thing measures 1.25 inches long.  So my guess is model SB7100 (M7x1.0 & 1.38" long).  Emphasis here on the word guess.

I never did get around to ordering one, but when/if I do, that's what I'm getting for my 550.  I recall in the thread that the 750 caliper has a different size bleeder...

Ok, I'm gonna order two for my dual discs. I started bleeding them last weekend and could only get one to flow and the was a bit of rust build up in it anyhow. I might even go with the stainless if the pocket book allows.

I let you all know how it works out.

I got the stainless speed bleeder for my 400F.  I'm sold.  I'll never go back to regular bleed nipples ever again.  I'm considering outfitting each of my cars with them as well.

I think all the Hondas had the same size threads and such on the bleed nipples.

As csender figured, SB7100 (size 7m x 1.0) worked great on my '76 cb550 with dual disks.
My only regret is that I watied so long to get them on. One of the previous nipples wouldn't bleed no matter how hard I pushed on the brake lever. The hole had rusted up nicely. (see pics) I made a bit of a mess pulling the nipple out since the brake fluid couldn't be completely drained out. The pistons are still moving freely in the calipers, so I'll be able to put off a rebuild for a little while.

After the new speed bleeders were installed bleeding the brakes WAS quite easy.

Not so. My 75 750F uses 2 different sizes. The front is SB7100. 7mm threads/8mm head/100 thread pitch. I think this is the "standard" Honda front caliper size. The rear uses SB8125. 8mm threads/8mm head/125 thread pitch.

Anyone know the right size for a 78 750K? I know you guys hates us K8 riders (or atleast our vastly superior bikes  ) but c'mon help a brother out....

Your bike uses the same caliper assembly as my 75 750F.
SB7100 or SB7100-SS if you want the stainless version (it's really sweet for a few bucks more)

Not sure I could so Stainless...would be the only part on my bike not rusted and would look out of place!
