Tensioner Removal
« on: March 10, 2008, 06:14:48 PM »
I need to get the cam tensioner off/out of the engine, and I removed the 3 bolts and loosened whatever bolt is underneath, and it still will not budge.  Any ideas on how to get this bad boy off the motor?

The only thing holding it on now is the gasket.

Give it a gentle love tap with your favorite BFH.  :)

It's probably just stuck at the gasket, just give it a soft knock with a piece of wood or something.  It should just pull free after removing those 3 bolts.
