electrics and battery relocated with stock seat
« on: April 23, 2008, 08:52:08 PM »
i lost a side cover and dont really like spendeing $70 or so for another one from ebay. so i moved the electrics under the seat and put the battery were the center stand was. its a 12v 5ah alarm battery from radio shack. i disconnected the starter so its kick only. i would like to get the progressive black springs/shocks for the back and wrap the exhaust. not sure how everything looks together. i like the empty look that the battey relocation gives but not too sure how it looks with the stock seat. gonna change the instruments and migh change to a drag bar.

But thence came the Great Schism, when the two like tribes diverged, and the Bobbers did take the Road to Cruiserdom and the Cafe Racers did ride to Sportbikedom and they did pollute the lands along their paths with their abominable spawn of Choppers, Stuntaz and like manner of unholy douchebaggery

That's an intense job to keep from purchasing a side cover. ;-) It looks very good as is. There's something cool about creating that empty space gives more emphasis to the motor and pipes. I'm guessing that you're planning on lower profile clocks.

Looking good Ed  :)

Did you know one of the bolts is missing from your front engine mounting plate? ;)

saving weight....lol just kidding.  yea, never got around to getting one for it. one of those things that kinda slipped my mind.  i would love to get the little tach from summit thats been posted here. its only like $30 or so but i dont think there is a matching speedo. wasnt that intense. i just took the bolts out of the plate that holds the electrics and pulled the whole thing back. had to move the fuse holder and rectifier. battery, was easy. welded up a little cage to hold it and put it in the place were the center stand was
