Topic: CB750 / CBR Build Update

I'm getting a bit closer to a final product and wanted to get some updated pictures posted.  She has CBR900rr forks, CBR600 swingarm and wheels.  Among other things I have to purchase a newer front wheel and rotors to accept the floating calipers - couldn't stand to loose the gold ones.  Let me know what you think.

Looks really good.  Anymore info on what you had to do to get that front end mounted up?  Did you press out the stock stem?  How is the chain alignment with that swinger?

Bike looks great!! Gives it a muscle-bike look - very nice! I wonder how its going to handle.....keep us updated please! Great idea.

I'm thinking the length might not be so bad on an F model ( no rear fender) and I would like to get some more weight on the front wheel.

Man that looks awesome!  How hard was it to mount up that front end?  I purchased a 900 RR roller for that same reason eventually.  I love the rear end, just need to do something about the seat and the fender!  Good work, can't wait to see it finished...

Which cbr is the swinger from? F2 or 3?  How about a bit of a write up o that one, I am looking inot it for the F projec Im starting to amass pieces for.

What are you doing for the speedo?  Do you modify the stocker to fit with the 900 front?

Very nice, considering the swingarm swap myself. How hard was it to fit?

- Not terribly hard to fit, it just needed the correct bushings for the swingarm bolt.



There is a tiny sleeve that was pressed into the bushing to get the proper clearance.

Front fork swap looks great, but the swingarm is way to long.

I LOVE the length of the swingarm. Being 6'4 it gives the scale of the bike to me a bit of a closer ratio.  It ended up being just over 4 inches longer.

Front was simple.  Pressed in the 750 stem into the 900 lower triple and it all went together the way it came out. Right now I'm into the classic / modern look.  I have thought about changing that aspect of it but keeping the obvious parts stock and clean and the not-so-obvious parts changed appeals to me. I'm happy to help if you have any questions in putting your together.

Either swingarm will work, they are both the same.  The biggest pitfall I have had so far is the front wheel debacle.  I purchased a set of F2 wheels and the front wont work with the floating calipers that bolt to the 900 forks.  Back to EBay I go.  No speedo or tach for me right now.  I'll pace traffic and see how I feel about it.

You may be able to move the chrome fender back with bolt in sections (you make them) that fit to the stock hole in the end of the frame.. or a Kawi ducktail.. I used one on a 6 over arm lowered about 3 or 4 inches using struts.

Once you move the fender back a bit the bikke will look better.

 Its gonna launch nice.. none of these wheelie stories with high 60 ft times..
