will any other engine fit in a 1982 cb650 frame without modification??? such as a cb500 or cb550 engine??....thanks

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

well......I have an 82 cb650 that was GIVEN to me.....a guy I work with owned it and made the hardtail for it......he went to start it and it backfired through the carbs and caught on fire....ruining all the electrics........I got a guy who has some cb550 motors and was going to transplant one into it.....this motor is still good, but electrical is alot simpler with the cb550 engine...

Thats a yup to 500/550. Anything else is gas axe and welder teritory
