Rectifier question?
« on: August 08, 2005, 11:56:07 AM »
On my sons 78 550K I am not so sure it is charging the battery properly. I checked back (with a electrician's help) and an getting 12 volts even when revving to 4000 or more rpm's.

The electrician then checked the rectifier for continuity and got nothing. I am assuming the rectifier is no longer good. I checked and saw the price for a new one and it was 220 dollars.

Are there other rectifiers out there that anyone can recommend or is the Honda the only was I should go?

Thanks

Mark

I have no first hand experience with the seller, but have seen them posted here before, might be worth a try;

I just ordered a new rectifier from Oregon Motorcycle Parts.

Thanks to Bob Wessner for the information.

This site has been great for helping me with the bike.
