Winning Exhaust?
« on: March 11, 2008, 11:01:55 PM »
Has anyone ever heard of Winning brand exhaust?  The 77 CB550 I just purchased the other night has a 4-1 exhaust and on the end of it it has a logo that reads "Winning".  It sounds pretty decent (when I can get the bike to stay running that is  :P), but I've never heard of it and was wondering if anyone else has.

Here's a pic:

Sounds and looks like a version of the Winning Performance pipe.

I figured I'd have a few.  ;D

Thanks for the replies guys.  I Googled the pipes and couldn't find anything, so I thought I'd ask those in the know.  I'm guessing the company that makes these is out of business?

George Kerker got divorced and his wife got some sort of settlement of future sales and pipes name changed because she hated the name Kerker. I'm not making this up.

That makes sense as the Winning pipes looked just like Kerkers

In the late 70's early 80's I worked at Honda of Mineola in New York. We sold thousands of Winning Performance exhaust. $149.99 black, $169.99 chrome. They worked as well as any other pipe.

I bought a Webco slip on for my 750F from Honda Mineola in the late 70's. That's when you sent a money order and your receipt was hand written. ;D

Yeah, me too.

She hated the name, but apparently liked the $$ enough to keep producing them, eh?
