Firstly, very cool looking machine.  I have a 350F as well and the best thing you can do to improve the way it runs is synch the carbs.  Make sure they're clean and functional first.  There really isn't much you can do to increase the performance significantly.  I'm not much of a "ride the bike and check the plug color enthusiast"....4 vacuum gauges and some patience will put those carbs spot on.  Only then, experiment w/jets to compensate for open exhaust and pods.  BTW I'm running one large pod w/stock airbox and it screams (as much as a 350F can) w/stock jets.

he's right... if you haven't synched... this can solve the most stubborn performance issues.

pull the starter switch assembly apart and try cleaning the contacts. thats why mine wasnt working.

Thanks. I'll definitely try to get these sync'd soon. Any recommendations for a decent set of vacuum gauges?

A quick-and-dirty test to help narrow down starter issues is to short across your starter solenoid with a screwdriver.  If your starter kicks, the problem is in the solenoid, pushbutton, or low-current wiring.  If it doesn't, the problem is in the starter itself or in the high-current wiring.

and if you don't have a kickstand safety switch or clutch safety switch like my cb... make sure you're on the bike and the clutch is pulled in  ;) ;D

Good point lol, one would assume that standard safety practices would apply when working on the starting system :D

i found this out at the gas station, standing next to the bike and hit the button.  ran itself right off the kickstand.  about gave myself a hernia trying to catch it... didn't touch the ground  :)

To find out what a plug chop is, go to the FAQ part of this forum and you will find all the necessary info.

You pretty much look at the color of the plugs and it tells you if your running lean or rich.

To bad your not close to Akron. Know body else around here rides CB's like we do ;)
