Dog For  Sale :

(or free to good home.)

Excellent guard dog.

Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore,

as there are no more thieves,

murderers, or molesters

left in the neighborhood

for him to eat.

Most of them

knew him

as

Actually I had a dog about that size, not quite so 'fat', but taller and about as heavy.
Beuford brentwood something or other on his AKC papers (only registered dog I've ever been interested in)
Old english mastif,  his shoulder was belt level on me and when he stood up on his back legs he could look nearly anyone in the eye.
He was EXTREMELY good at clearing the street on looks alone, which was good because the only way he'd hurt anyone was if he stepped on your foot.

Real funny thing happened with him at a gas station once, I had a CJ7 with a bikini top on it, and was pumping gas, Beuf was halfway in the passenger seat watching me, and some dude walked up to the passenger side near Beuf, and started asking directions. Beuf turned around and looked at him, the guy stopped in mid word dropped his pop and map, and took off running accross the parking lot yelling 'OH SH*T OH SH*T OH SH*T

Ended up buying the guy another pop, but had a hard time keeping a straight face.

Ken.

I've got a friend with one similar.  A Neopolitan Mastiff.  That's not Photoshop.

A piece of advice to anyone thinking of getting one, TRAIN IT!  My friend's dog has destroyed his house.

Reminds me of a story my dad told me about a guy that was having problems with his garage being broken into, so he advertised for a mean guard dog.  When he met the dog, a German Shepard, it bit his nose off.  The person selling the dog(might have been giving it away -I don't recall) figured he didn't want it , but he said it was perfect.  He hung a picture of himself minus the nose outside his shop and the robberies stopped.

With a dog that size it'd be like cleaning up after a horse, if you get my drift.
