K4 centerstand installation

Hi all got a centerstand question for ya....I spent almost 2 hours trying to figure out where the centerstand spring attaches to the frame (i.e. centerstand-spring-kidney plate-?.Can anyone tell me where the kidney plate attaches to?! Any pics would be a HUGE help too... cheers!!

Look up there and you will see a stud bracket welded to the frame.  The 1/2 moon bracket hooks there.

Cheers Johnie! I was lookin for some stud on the side of the frame not the little bent stud as you shown, I thought that was just for holdin the carb breather tubes....pp

Glad to help out.  I went through the same thing putting a new center stand on a 1980 CM400 I was restoring.  Just could not see that stud.  So been there too.   ;D
