Topic: double letter typing not making it to the document... please help

i am a fast typer... i'm sure many of us are 
when i need to hit two letters in a row just like i did twice in this sentence, there is an option clicked somewhere on this computer to keep me from double clicking on accident.  it will only register one of the key hits.  it might be a nice option if i sucked at typing.

p.s.  every typo you've every seen me typo is the keyboards' fault!

I'd blame the keyboard but its usually fingers that have been mutilated....

Had the ring finger on my right hand surgically glued back together last week plus the tetnus shot...

So since I use it for the shift, enter, and a bunch of other keystrokes...it sucks.
