How Do I Get My Identity Back?

It's been a while since I've logged on to the forums, and I have since moved a couple of times and changed e-mail address/ISP.  I tried to log on and for got my password, so without thinking I had the site send me a new password- forgetting that my registered e-mail address is now non existant.  Anyway, My new password is hovering out there in cyberspace somewhere and I can't log in as myself.  I created a new user name and password, and tried to re-register all my cycle #'s, but all I want to do is get My SOHC4 Identity back.  Anyone have any pointers or contact info on how I could regain control of my Profile? :'(

Try PM'ing Glenn to see if he can recover your password for you.  If that is your old ID, though, you only have 18 posts on it, so wouldn't be a huge deal to start a new one.

If that was your old user name, I can change your eMail address to your new one and you can try for a new password again, or I can change the eMail address, assign a new password and send it to you... I think. :D

So you mean Bob that stealing an ID in this forum is as simple as creating a new account similar to a pre-existing one, and post away saying you have forgotten your password and you no longer have your e-mail address? What's the point of keeping a forum nickname if you don't even keep your email address?

I guess at least you check that the "new" member knows what the old email address was.... but come to think of it, it is in the profile in many cases so it doesn't really means much.  ;D

except that old profile can no longer be looked up by us "non-mods".  it is inactive at this point.

I know, I know, but I can't help to point out when I see a loop somewhere.... it works both ways though.
