Better invest in some nice sunglasses or a polarized visor....  Looks great.

+1 ! ! !  8) Glare is a #$%*  8) When are you nickle or chrome plating the frame?

What oil pressure gauge do you have? Can you get PM a picture or 2 of it? What is the quality of the chrome? I knew there was something I hadn't spent money on.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

No chrome frame it will be left black ;)

Oil pressure gauge is from Joker Machine - really nice quality. Only recently installed but def an upgrade over my old S&W gauge. I am going to get another for my K4 (which has a leaky S&W gauge on there now).

Thanks Tweakin and Branden - you guys have some of the best looking bikes on here so I really appreciate the comments! Bike rides great as well with the Hagon 2810s, new straight springs up front and BT-45s gripping the road.

cheers

If I may, that's a K0/K1 tail light. Yes its smaller. The K2 had the 4 point bracket with the larger light. Andy (like me) retrofitted the smaller light. Don't know if he changed out the fender or not, which was different also.

Hey Mike,  i guess he had it polished and clear coated before and it started to crack on him.  So he stripped it and let me have a go at it.  It is just a little wax and thats it.  He will probably have to touch it up every so often

Wow I go away for a day off and ride 260 miles on my K4 on some amazing twisty roads in Western Mass and come back to a question and answer session and I dont have to do a thing! Great! Before I left this morning I got the petcock for the polished tank and was very tempted to fit it and take it. It would have been great but the K4 handled the roads so well - mix of dirt (very short sections), bumpy roads and sweepers. Amazing day.

Quick shot of the K4 out today - this was taken at Montague Bookstore (Montague MA) - a very old cool bookstore with a cafe that sells great food, beer and has plenty of hot students lounging around ;)

Thanks MC and Knowsnothing for answering all the questions. All correct! Agree that the Joker Machine oil pressure gauge is a very very nice piece (I ordered another for my K4 last night).

Glad you all like the bike. Its been a long time coming for me. Ive always wanted a shiny CB750 and this is how I imagined it. Hopefully tomorrow get out for some "on the road shots".

cheers
Andy

Hey Andy, I asked you a question... lol

Ooops missed that sorry! Mount points for the early K fender? I mounted the early tail light on an early K fender which mounts up the same as later rear fenders. Hope that helps ;)

Also plan to mount the early K turn signal mounts to make the rear turn signals closer to the frame. I have the mounts but discovered I have to ground the turn signal housings and havent got round to that yet. Looks much better though (I think).

cheers

Mmm I dont think it does and thats most likely why I got an earlier fender. You can see its bent a little - this is where MikeR ran into it with his car (or something!!)

Just to add clarity: the K0 fender is a 2 point mount in the little bracket taillight. All the fenders mount the same to the frame BTW, its the taillight mount that's different.

The K1 taillight is the same small bracket as the K0, but it has 3 holes in a triangle to mount it to the fender. The original 2 hole allowed the bracket to flop around a little.

I ended up with a 2 hole fender OEM from Honda, probably NLA now. And I drilled a 3rd hole in the fender to mount the K1 bracket. The 2 hole fender was shorter which is what i wanted.

The K1 and K2 etc fenders were longer. The K2 fender went with the humongous 4 hole bracket and giant lamp.

You can mount the small bracket/small lamp light to a K2 and later fender, but you'll have to drill your holes, and the original 4 holes will all show as the smaller bracket doesn't cover any of them. You could fill them with fat buttonhead screws, (all the holes have nuts welded on the bottom side of the fender) or weld them closed, grind and re chrome.

I like both seats.

I love my Euro bars. Closest thing to them are BMW R series bars. Flanders has a selection. Just a suggestion, you probably already know where you're going.

Most so called Euro bars are too close to Superbike bars for my taste.

Yeah I may have to change the Road racer name. New seat has a plastic pan. Not selling the old seat or the bars - they will go into storage and will be resurrected at a later date Im sure. I just like a change now and again.

ITs been a while since I was looking there. I see a mention that these are 22mmdia for BMW controls. 22mm = .866". v 7/8 = .875".  Don't know if that's close enough to use or not, I think so.

Here's their 7/8 bars. Top right selection looks interesting.

All dimensions are listed.  I never could find any that matched mine which I bot 32 yrs ago, source long since lost to time.
