Seat Lock for 72 CB750 - will this fit?
« on: August 22, 2005, 03:55:55 PM »
My CB750 came without any trace of a seat lock. the seat can flap up at any time! Will a 73 one fit my bike?:

This might be of help. It looks like it will fit, as the same type of lock was used on the K3 as well.

thanks for that but the image only seems to refer to k1 / k2 - are you sure about the k3 being the same? thanks!

I have a K3 and it looks exactly the same. I have the K0-K8 model comparator and it doesn't say anything about seat lock changes on the K3 model.

The seat lock will work on the K2 because from 72 through 76 they were the same part number.  But the ignition switch in the auction has the square plug and K2s have the round plug so the ignition switch in the auction will not work with your bike.

Hmmmm... did they give a key # for the switch?

Hmmmm... did they give a key # for the switch?

As long as it's a Honda OEM switch the key # will be stamped on the face of the switch (older ones) or on the side of the switch (newer ones).
