Good man Kslrr for keeping this current. :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Good man Kslrr for keeping this current. :)

Thanks.  I wish I could say for sure that it is 100% acurate.  It's hard to say what members who have not logged in for awhile still have their 650s.

Not sure if you want to count it, but I also have a 1980 CB650 Standard parts bike and an extra CB650 Custom engine.

Ok guys I have a dilemma.   The tank on the nitehawk is junk and I wont spend 200 or more for another.  Was thinking either patchwork or making it into a custom. Have a custom tank But I would have to cut down the front tank mounts. Also wouldnt have the mount tabs for the side covers.   Want to swap the front out to as I dont like the rectangular gauges or the bars.

That mod might be a bit more difficult than simply swapping parts and might not look right.  I believe the frames of the Custom CB650s vs. the Standards and Nighthawks are different.

The only big diif in the nitehawk frame was it had a different rake.  That I've heard or can see right now.   Tab for the sidecovers are missing to but thats minor.
Diff between the standard custom is only the sidestand.

I have to add one more to this list, I now have an 82 Nighthawk as well as my Z which is already on the list, it is in very rough condition and not complete, I just hope I can bring it back to its former glory.

I need to add a 1982 CB650 to this list:
onepieceatatime   '80 CB650C (spare engine)        Franklin County, PA
                             '80 CB650 parts bike

From the PO's Craigslist ad:
"The only thing needed to get it running is a new battery and the carburetors reinstalled."

With the spares I have, and the knowledge I have gained from this forum, the CB650 forum, and my '80, I don't think it will be a problem to get it on the road again.

Now that I have taken possession of my "82" it turns out the PO put the wrong year on the craigslist ad. I had a friend check it out and pick it up for me, but he did not notice the year discrepency. It is actually a 1980 CB650 making my list as follows:
'80 CB650C (spare engine)
'80 CB650 and parts bike
Sorry for the extra work in updating the list.

Well folks, I am working to get to where I can get back in action on here. I am remarried, partially moved from Arkansas to Georgia and will be doing some work on putting the 80' CB650C that I bought a couple of years ago, back to the condition it SHOULD BE IN. BTW, you might ought to change my location on the 650 Register, to Hartwell, GA.  ;)  Only picture I have presently, is this one. As we speak, it IS in the "Transformation Stage", but it is still in Arkansas, to be transported down, before long.

I replaced the seat with a 650 seat, replace the "Mini Gauges" with originals, replaced the gas tank with original and replaced the master cylinder. The tail light is going to be replaced by a "Lucas Style" light, the cracked exhaust system  will be replaced by a stock system in better shape and will be getting a paint job for sure. I HAVE Comstars that go on it, but not sure which way I will go there. I'm making a trip back to Arkansas soon and hope to bring it back down with me and if so, I should be getting back on it soon and will be posting pictures.

Just found this registry today.
Not sure where to put this one ,It's mostly ' 81 650: engine ,wiring, swing arm, wheels , front end...
everything but the frame (500) and fuel tank (550) and seat made from a truck bed liner.

My '80  650 is partially under cover in the top left of the pic , it looks like everyone else's daily driver. Whenever I ride with a passenger, that is my choice of machine because of it's noticeable increased power over the 550's, and it handles well.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.
550 Snowbike -Somebody had to do it.
