Shipping alternatives
« on: March 25, 2008, 09:05:08 AM »
FYI... in some case this might help somebody out.

I was buying some wheels and about had a heart attack when I was quoted shipping.....until one vendor
suggested using a bus line.  I'm getting 2 wheels shipped across the state for $25  (GreyHound)
If you have somebody willing to go the extra mile, it could reallyu save some money.

I was quoted $45 shipping for each wheel...more than I paid for them.

Try the bus lines next time - see what they say.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Guess it depends on the price of the wheels/rims. I bought a bunch of stuff from Service Honda including 2 new rims. Total shipping was $17 for 2 boxes. That sure made those new rims seem much cheaper.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
