Hey - add me to the roster, please! I have a 79 CB650, currently in several pieces in the garage but I think it should be running before the end of June. It's my first bike and I've had it for about four years. I like playing with it, so it's probably spent about a quarter of that time in multiple pieces. The other seventy-five percent of the time I ride it mainly for pleasure - some day rides and some overnight trips. I've ridden a few other bikes, but I'm pretty partial to this one.

OMG.  Sister, get ready for a hell of a ride.
;D
Your third sentence is pretty much the same story as mine.  I bought mine and worked on it for three years on and off (sometimes more 'off') before finally getting to ride it this year.

You're on the roster.  I'm taking over for Loonymoon, so here we go:

1) Loonymoon, 1973 CB350F - clueless enthusiast- but slowly learning!!
2) Hope, 1975 Honda CB550K - grew up on bikes & been riding all my life
3) Ingrid, LOT's of bikes including 1976 Honda CB750, my brother took me for a tour when I was 12 and I was hooked since...
4) Ladyvorlon, 77 CB750F.  Here I am my first rebuild, and think I did ok...not bad for a woman! LOL ....painted, cleaned, switches, bars, brakes and so much more...and a very understanding father, who's knowledge made it all possible!
5)Kitsune84, 1980 CB650c - First rebuild, learning how to ride.
6) Mosquitojones.,clueless mechanically, been riding for about 10 years, only bike is a CB650.
7)Adya 1972 CB750. Been riding on the back for years but finally decided to get my own.
8)mbritt, 1977 CB400F, don't know the lingo yet - but having fun learning!
9) Moto-BunnY
10) Inkscars - 1977 CB750 four K - First bike, first bike rebuild. Well versed in the mechanical field. Been working on cars, and small engines for almost 9 years now, although professionally I stopped about 2 years ago.
11)JLove, and I started riding last year about a week before I went on a 2000 mile trip through Deal's Gap to Georgia (from Michigan).  I was on an 81 (Kawasaki) KZ 750LTD that belongs to my special man friend.  I have since then bought a 1980 KZ 250 LTD and a 76 CB550.
12)MickeyX- Owns Samson, the 1980 CB650 that is "Not A Parts Bike" but rather generously loans parts to Kit's Delilah.
13) DCLee- Proud owner of a '79 CB650, rides and wrenches- but hopefully more of the former soon!

I guess, technically, I can post in this thread now. I do own a CB650, it will just be a few years before Samson is ready for the road. Right now, he resides in the garage next to Kit's bike, Delilah, being used as a parts donor when in dire need. (everytime Kit wants to ride and D takes an unscheduled break, it's a DIRE need.  ;D) We got him about 2 months ago or so on our way home from a weekend with some friends. Kit kept her 650 very stock. Sampson will go a different route and get rat rodded/dragged a bit. In the end, he will be kind of a "tank girl" bike. I can't wait to see the 2 of them next to each other. The exact same year and model, just restored in different directions. It's funny, Kit's bike is stock, which describes me these days. Mine will be a tank girl version, which describes Kit very well. A match made in heaven, I'd say.  8)

In the meantime, I ride my Harley 883 Sportster every chance I get. A girl has needs, ya know.  ;D

I'm happy to see so many women here, riding vintage bikes and many of you working on them. Very cool indeed.
1969 CL350 Scrambler... almost done!!! Well, until something else goes wrong. :)
2006 HD 883 Sportster, stock. No use changing it, it's still gonna be a Harley.

Hello
I am Marie, French woman living in Spain. Not a young woman anymore, just arriving very closed to 50 years old……
For now I ride a CB400 SF from 2001 and I have a Honda VTR 250 from 1998 too.
I take my bike every days, going to work and just for fun too every free day. I have been travelling with both bikes, from Spain to France, and around Spain. I use to travel alone with my bike; don’t need anyone else when I ride her. My bikes are one of my pleasures in my life, almost like my children and my husband…... but easier to drive than the family ;-)
See you !!!

Hello,
My English is not very good, but do I understand that my bike doesn’t have to be here…as it is not a SOHC4 bike, but a DOHC… I don’t know, but if it is not correct to be here as a woman biker, just tell me and I will stay out…..

Just joined the forum... after buying my third bike, a '74 Honda cb750.  My first bike was a '73 cb350four, my second an '86 Kawi 400.  I have coveted the cb750 for a long time now, ever since trading my first bike ten years ago. Historically, I've done much of my work myself (with the generous help of friends) and plan to continue.  Electrical has always been my weak link, I don't even try to do the electrical at home :-\   The bike is a project right now, having just been deposited in a friend's shop... hopefully soon it'll be back on the road.

Yup, Hi from over the hill!  I live pretty close to the Raleigh Hills area if you know where that is.  Sadly, I'm a country girl and the city/city driving freaks me out so I tend to stay out of the city in general unless I'm on the max. ::)

Oh, I'm definitely a country girl... grew up in rural Oregon... I've learned to live in the city.  I sold my last bike after riding in the Bay Area put a bad taste in my mouth.  I hated lane splitting over the Bay Bridge into the city, it totally freaked me out.  Portland's not a bad place to be, it's the MAX I don't like.  I know the Raleigh Hills!

Here is my sister, who rides.  She typicaly rides whatever extra bikes I have around.  The cafe bike I just picked up for a friend.  As usual, she is on her toes with a 750 but at least she doesn't let it stop her.

Hey, Eileen might pop in over on the forum since she now owns this k5.  Bike runs and rides well and will be getting a nice clean-up.
