75 750 f cam and head
« on: March 24, 2008, 09:45:45 PM »
is there any advantage to me putting the head and cam from a 75 750f onto my 76 k model motor? powerwise i mean. i have the k model motor apart waiting for a new cam chain tensioner and the 750 f motor sitting on a shelf in the garage. i do not want to change pistons and cylinders as theres still a very nice crosshatch on the .75mm overbored k model cylinder

Take a look at the 2 tachs. K redline is 8000 rpm and F model is 8500 rpm. The head and cam are part of the reason for this with a small bump in compression ratio due to the pistons. You WILL notice a nice difference.
