Topic: anybody here repaint their helmet?

I'm changing the color scheme of my 500K cafe project from blue and white to burgundy and black. I've got an AGV helmet that's less than a year old, but blue and white. I'd like to have it match the bike. Anyone in here have suggestions or tips on painting helmets, besides "let the paint shop do it with the body parts" (I'm already contemplating that)

If you're getting your tanks painted, you might as well let them do the helmet as well.  You can take out the liner and all the hardware to save them some time taping/prepping etc. ... scuff it up with a scotchbrite and some degreaser and it's good to go.
